Magical Neurodivergent Family Day at Leixlip Youth Community Centre
We had the absolute joy of joining the Neurodivergent Family Day at Leixlip Youth Community Centre, and what a wonderful day it was!
We created a vibrant sensory play area filled with tuff trays, sensory toys, construction play, textures and colours, giving children the freedom to explore, discover and play in their own way.
It was incredible to see families engaging together, finding new ways to play and enjoying the magic of open-ended learning.
Outside, the fun continued with hoppers, go-cars and movement activities, giving children plenty of space to run, bounce and zoom around. The laughter and excitement were contagious!

And, of course, no family day would be complete without a splash of colour! Our face painting corner brought endless smiles, with everything from Pikachu to rainbow unicorns, and plenty of creative designs in between. It was lovely to see children and grown-ups alike embracing the fun.
The day was made even more special with gymnastics classes and a sensory bus, offering even more opportunities for children to move, explore and experience play in ways that worked for them.
We love being part of community events like this, where inclusion, connection and joy are at the heart of the experience. Every child deserves the opportunity to play, explore and feel welcome, and it was wonderful to create a space where families could simply enjoy being together.
A huge thank you to Leixlip Youth Community Centre and everyone who joined us.
It was truly a magical day!
